I have 15+ years experience as a content creator, copywriter, and editor, producing all types of marketing copy and content for social, web, and print:
- director of marketing, Smarthouse Creative: Crafting digital marketing and media outreach for Smarthouse clients, including publicity campaigns, PR strategy, social strategy, and targeted ad buys.
- social media strategy: From January 2014 to October 2017, I was the social media + promotions producer for Museum of Pop Culture managing a content calendar, strategizing campaigns, creating content, scheduling, live-posting, live-curating event & exhibit Tagboards, and managing multiple Twitter accounts and Facebook pages, Instagram, YouTube, and Snapchat.
- indie editor and writer: I’m an active editor and writer for Three Imaginary Girls, Seattle’s Sparkly Indie-Pop Press – editing, assigning, managing, and posting incoming content (including my own) in collaboration with editor and TIG co-founder Liz Riley Tollefson — including our annual coverage of the Seattle International Film Festival.
- branding & marketing: During my seven year stretch at drugstore.com/Beauty.com {both have since been assimilated into the Walgreens family}, I created brand voices for multiple sites with vastly different target audiences, including researching of available site names, URLs, and tagline development + writing, reviewing, and proofing copy and content across those sites.
freelance stuff & things:
- entertainment writer: wrote about Downton Abbey (MOST FUN EVER!) for KCTS9 {see also: Poldark, Mr. Selfridge, Call the Midwife & more} + wrote & gossiped about some of my fave shows for WetPaint.com
